Emily Skelton receives the Champion of the Year award from the British Medical Ultrasound Society

Emily Skelton, Programme Director and Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging (Medical Ultrasound) in the School of Health & Psychological Sciences at City, University of London, has been named Champion of the Year for 2023 by the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS).
Superseding Sonographer of the Year, the Champion of the Year award celebrates the outstanding contributions made by BMUS members to the field of medical ultrasound. Those nominated for the award have demonstrated that they have gone above and beyond to develop and maintain excellence in medical ultrasound, support and inspire others, and encourage the education and development of others.
Emily received a number of nominations from fellow academics and professionals for the award, and they highlighted the great care that Emily takes to put the patient at the heart of service delivery, her cutting-edge research and teaching, and the work she has put in to improve the experience of service users and sonography professionals.
