We are looking for early, mid or senior career policy practitioners seeking an opportunity to develop their practice with a three month residency.
The Practitioner in Residence (PinR) Scheme will provide a platform for policy practitioners to grow and explore their practice, and for School of Policy & Global Affairs (SPGA) students and staff to connect and engage with external stakeholders.
This initiative aims to:
- Increase and diversify the School’s engagement with external stakeholders
- Facilitate conversations between academics, practitioners, students and the general public on the big issues society faces locally, nationally, and at a global scale
- Provide specialist policy support to PhD students and researchers' pathways to impact
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships to support the development of collaborative research projects
- Create opportunities for the research conducted in SPGA to support an evidence-informed policymaking process
- Encourage mutual learning and collaboration between students, staff and practitioners, fostering new models of practitioner-led teaching
- Identify opportunities and co-deliver cutting-edge executive training programmes for government, business and third-sector organisations
- Hold public debates and discussion groups.
What we offer to Practitioners in Residence
