Chaired by Professor Lis Howell (Emerita) and Professor Suzanne Franks.
This exciting conference presents new figures, which will show whether expert women are still under-represented on the news, compared to expert men. We have surveyed six flagship news programmes. At our first conference in 2014, we showed that five times as many male experts as female experts appeared on top TV news programmes.
Our campaign improved things. But are we now going backwards? The new figures will tell us….
And for our fourth conference we are delighted to partner with the Academy of Medical Sciences to present new statistics on the presentation of women and the patient experience on air.
We also welcome our first international partners from the Ghana Women Experts Project.
