Italian Intermediate (Full Syllabus) Course overview
Our Italian intermediate course will give you the skills to move beyond everyday conversation to communicate and connect with Italian speakers on a deeper level. We’ll teach you the grammar and vocabulary to share anecdotes about yourself and your family, as well as discuss future activities.
When you learn intermediate Italian at City you’ll continue to develop skills using the past tense, acquiring more detail and sophistication in your sentence structures.
You’ll learn about contemporary Italian culture using literary texts, newspaper articles, music and film to gain an insight into current affairs.
On completion of the year, you’ll have reached CEFR B1 level of learning.
Who is it for?
Ideal if you have completed our lower intermediate syllabus or have studied formally elsewhere for 120 hours. You may have a good or recent GCSE or be confident speaking at CEFR A2 level. The eligibility section contains more information.
